Build a personal AI assistant on the web — its instructions, its personality, the accounts it may use. YardBird gives it a dedicated phone number, so you can reach it from any phone, anywhere a phone line works.

00:42“Add ‘call the pharmacy’ to my list.”
PIN first. Then it’s all yours.
The setup happens on the web, where screens are handy.
Everything after that happens over a plain phone call.
Write your assistant’s instructions, choose its personality, set your security PIN, and authorize the accounts it’s allowed to use.
Your assistant is provisioned with a dedicated phone number. That number reaches your AI — and only yours.
Dial from any phone, enter your PIN, and just talk. It listens, thinks, uses the tools you approved, and answers out loud.
From a landline, cell, or any phone that can dial.
Your words are transcribed in real time.
Your instructions and personality shape every answer.
It acts only through the accounts you authorized.
Natural text-to-speech, straight back down the line.
Built on established voice APIs (we’re evaluating providers such as Twilio, Vapi, and Retell AI). Our design target is a reply that starts in under a second — fast enough to feel like a conversation, not a menu.
Your dashboard is where your AI becomes yours: what it knows about how you like to be helped, how it talks, and exactly what it’s permitted to do.
Patient and warm, or quick and to the point. Tell it to speak slowly, keep it short, or always repeat numbers twice.
Messaging tools, lookup databases, personal notes, and notification dispatchers — each one switched on by you, and revocable anytime.
Each assistant maps to one dedicated phone number, provisioned when your account goes live.
Try the sample dashboard. Your choices shape the simulated call — nothing you type leaves your browser.
“What’s on
my list today?”
For people without a smartphone, a data plan, or a reliable connection — or who just don’t want another app. A landline or a flip phone is enough.
“What’s Dr. Lee’s
office number?”
For people who are isolated or in settings where a voice line is all they’re allowed — care facilities, restricted sites, remote work. Their own assistant, without a screen.
“Tell Jane I’ll
call tomorrow.”
Battery’s dead, data’s down, or you’re borrowing a phone. Any working line can still reach your AI and the tools you trust it with.
YardBird is a personal assistant, not an emergency service. In an emergency, call your local emergency number. Specific integrations will be announced as each one is built and approved.
Your assistant can reach real accounts, so the line has to know it’s really you before it says a word about them.
A secure PIN on the keypad, with voice authentication planned as an added layer. Repeated failures lock the line.
Official, revocable connections set up on the web. No shared passwords spoken over the phone.
Before a message or notification goes out, you hear exactly what, to whom, and confirm out loud.
You hear what actually happened — sent, failed, or uncertain — never a cheerful guess.
An ambitious idea.
And clear expectations.
Not yet. YardBird is in development. No phone numbers are live and no accounts can be connected. This site includes a simulated call so you can explore how it will work.
Any phone that can dial a regular number: a landline, a basic cell phone, a smartphone, or a shared phone. A touch-tone keypad is used for PIN entry. You don’t need an app or internet access on your end.
On the YardBird web dashboard — once, or by someone you trust helping you. That’s where you write the instructions, pick a personality, set your PIN, and authorize integrations. After that, everything happens over the phone.
Talk with you, and act through the integrations you approve: sending messages, looking things up in connected databases, keeping personal notes, and dispatching notifications. Each integration will launch only when it’s built, secured, and approved by the provider it connects to.
Every call starts with verification — a secure PIN, with voice authentication planned as an additional check. Failed attempts lock the line. Actions that reach the outside world are read back and require your spoken confirmation.
No. YardBird can help you reach your own tools when other options are down, but it does not replace emergency services. Always call your local emergency number for help in an emergency.
Pricing is still being worked out. We expect a simple subscription that includes your dedicated number and a set of call minutes. Terms will be published before we accept any payment.
